Family, friends and fun
It has been an interesting week here. My wife, 2 year old son and I recently moved to New York with some family. I was not sure how it would go but so far it has been good. The family we are staying with is my wife sister and her husband and they are over the road truck drivers so they are not here for 6 to 8 weeks at a time. This has allowed for us to “house sit” in a way and live very cheap.
The week they came in from the road for the week and my son, who had never met them, instantly took to them. It was funto see his interaction as he started to get to know them and what they where about. Tomorrow marks the end of there week home and I am really wondering how he will take them leaving for 8 weeks.
It should be interesting to be sure. I guess all you can do is play it day to day but it could be a fun few days filled with “Where is Uncle and Auntie?” Distraction will have to be a tool pulled from the parental tool box this week I am sure………
